Emery unleashed
Me, October 2023, 3D render
Characters featured: Emery

After being born into imprisonment, Emery relishes the chance to gloat over a former captor. She climbs atop the study desk in search of a keepsake, and to pour over old research notes for something that may clue her into her own origins.

My largest singular 3d project, and my first time creating something intended to be viewed from a fixed angle. A lot of time was spend modelling different objects upon the desk. This project meant a lot for me, and represented a lot of growth in my skills from start to end. Emery herself is modelled simply, and the shadow playfully hides further secrets.

Fissure
Me, 2023, 3D animation
Characters featured: none

A great and terrible force has stripped this planet of its equitorial crust, strewing matter into a system of rings. The residual heat from the impact has melted away the surface of the moon. Inside the moon's core, an even greater evil sleeps.
Inspired by an old ttrpg world I had made, for which much of the lore remains a secret, this animation was an exploration into the world of shaders. The texture of the planet is entirely procedural, and my first time making something so.

Apotheosis
Me, ~September 2023, 3D animation
Characters featured: The Runaway

Apotheosis: the well of sudden realization spills over into raw magical potential. The moment of clarity grants a new level of power.
My first ever 3d animation project. For this reason the main body of the character is composed with simple shapes. A lot of experimentation with systems went into the construction of this animation, and earlier versions included much more chaotic discs and particles. Blue and red lights sweep around the model.

Stotate
Me, Summer 2024, 3D animation/shader
Characters featured: Generic stoat-type creature

Spin to win.
The culmination of a project to learn both digital sculpting, which I used to create the model, and a dive into shaders, which I used to provide the toon lighting/pixellation effect. For a while, I used this as my profile picture on cohost.

Kro Portrait
Bryn, September 2024, digital drawing
Characters featured: Kro

Portrait of Kro, my primary fursona.
As part of an art trade, artist Bryn has created a stunning portrait, showing off my fursona's recent redesign. Bryn captures a radiant energy that I will cherish for years to come.

Solar Wanderer
Me, Summer 2024, pixel art
Characters featured: Solar wanderer and companion

A refugee takes some rest after wanding through the blazing desert. The emblem on her cloak implies some affinity for the sun. Her home looms overhead, just out of reach.
This was a pixelart piece I worked on as part of a weekend pixelart jam.

The same characters in a new light. Demonstrating the solar staff and amulet collar
Part of the same jam, the character and companion are drawn individually.

Pocket Fox
VixiePixie, 2020, digital drawing
Characters featured: Kro

So small, very polite.
One of the first pieces of art I've commissioned, this one stands out for being as cute as it is playful. Though the red hair is featured here, the tail follows a different design pattern.

Scarlet
Me, July/September 2024, digital drawing
Characters featured: Scarlet

Scarlet the red panda! The fursona of Tresillo Effect
This is a piece of art that is still waiting on further work, with details and colors requiring updates. I am however rather happy with the progress thusfar! In addition I wanted to make reference to my girlfriend's wonderful fursona in the gallery.

I would often go there
Me, 2024, digital painting
Characters featured: hunter

Hunter looks over the shore towards an emormous complex that houses a forgotten 'iterator'. Despite the obvious ruin, the sky and water look pristine for the first time.
Part of a collection of 'Rain World' fanart. All paintings in the collection are a dramatic interpretation of the areas seen within the game. Since the game is limited to a fairly close-shot side-on view, this painting depicts a view that the player will never see. Here I imagined how hunter would feel looking towards its long-anticipated destination. The rain world painting collection was initially conceptualised as a PMV to "Smallest Church in Sussex", a project while may still come to fruition.

To the tiny church there

Industrial components of some enormous half-submerged structure, not only a waterway for the local wildlife.
Part of a collection of 'Rain World' fanart. I enjoy the ideas and components of this piece, although would love to re-visit it to flesh out its ideas further. This particular painting depicts a large enclosure outside the chamber of the 'Looks to the Moon'. It is barren save for the jellyfish that occasionally float by.

It once was larger
Me, 2024, digital painting

We turn to a view from far above the clouds, where the twin superstructures do not seem so far apart. One has fallen, but still is able to emerge above the clouds, tinted red either by the sunset or the local chemistry.
Part of a collection of 'Rain World' fanart. This painting brings us to a more divine perspective, out of reach of the comprehension of creatures that dwell below. A vulture, perhaps. This painting is an interesting contract in large, sweeping cloud shapes and surface details on the superstructures. I also enjoyed creating something with an opposite color scheme to the previous works, despite featuring the same clouds as before.

Spark
Me, 2023, digital drawing
Characters featured: The Runaway

The runaway finally gets a handle on their arcane power, creating a nexus of light and magic at their fingertip.
This particular drawing is a loose re-creation of an earlier drawing (or painting) that has been lost to time. The lost drawing is one I was very fond of, and worked hard to re-create it, however it the result is not quite the same. Nevertheless, I enjoy having something in the furry collection that has a contrasting energy to the other works.

That's all there is for now! I'll maybe be uploading more of the backlog in the future
